A British Columbia dentist, Duvall, faced a long history of complaints from 1984 onward, with a 1991 inquiry not held, lapses in BC practice, and a 2002 return under medical conditions. He has bipolar disorder since 1984 and underwent ongoing psychiatric treatment to continue practicing, now central to a BC Human Rights Tribunal discrimination case.
