Persistence Brings Lighting for School Crosswalk
The PAC led a three year push to install a luminescent light at the highway crosswalk by the library and Rec Centre. With speed limits at 50 kmh and high pedestrian traffic from Windrem Elementary and the High School, warning signs were insufficient. Duane Hornland of the Ministry of Highways aided the effort, enabling the project this year.
