Chetwynd residents oppose regional building bylaw amendments
The Peace region community packed the PRRD meeting to oppose a rural building bylaw expansion. Charlie Lasser led a push for simpler rules and exemptions for demolition permits and occupancy, with petitions surpassing a thousand names in Chetwynd and two regions nearby. Simmard outlined prior history and insurance recommendations affecting the bylaw adopted in 1999.
