Northern wood forum a dream come true for entrepreneurs
The northern wood forum in its fourth year draws 7000 visitors to Vanderhoof for Touch Wood 2000. Nearly 300 delegates gain insights into creating successful wood businesses as Todd Stockner’s artful furniture and Angelique Merasty Levac’s birch bark bitings showcase northern craftsmanship. Keith Spencer, Vanderhoof Specialty Wood Products founder and forum chair, envisions secondary manufacturing expanding the regional economy alongside primary forestry.
