Chetwynd Relay for Life marks 9th annual event
A cheerful crowd opened Chetwynd s Relay for Life weekend with cancer survivors joining the first lap. More than 50 participants raised 11 000 dollars, less than last year, yet organizers praised the event s celebration and remembrance. Entertainment included Danny Fowler Monty Loberg and Christian Jacques. Local leaders Tammy Nelson and Donna Deck were thanked for years of help as the chapter s 9th annual relay began at 10 30 am and closed with an luminary lap. Ruiter seeks a new organizer to keep energy fresh every few years.
