Chetwynd Rec Centre overhaul asks for patience from patrons
Chetwynd District enters a large renovation of the Recreation Centre with demolition underway. Director George Goodwin urges patrons to be patient as access shifts and services shift, noting user groups retain season use while adjustments occur. Upgrades include a larger fitness area, new courts, climbing wall, and running track, with funding from provincial and federal grants and a 2006 referendum enabling up to 7 million in borrowing.
