Debate access sparks charges for Legion hall rental
Community turnout efforts before elections lead the Royal Canadian Legion to host an all candidates forum at Cottonwood Hall after the Chamber of Commerce declined. A $46 per hour hall charge prompted donations from the public, drawing criticism from Councilor Ray Cunningham who urged reconsideration by Civic Properties. District officials supported downtown cleanup week Pitch In with waived landfill tipping fees for large item disposal.
