Chetwynd SAR trains and aids regional searches
The Chetwynd Search and Rescue team meets every second Wednesday at the SAR building to train in emergency prep search techniques and planning. The group handles six to 15 calls yearly, may assist province wide, and promotes public awareness through school programs and community events. Bloodhounds in training and volunteer trail layers are sought, with contact at 788 2292.
