Chetwynd to receive planning grant funds
Chetwynd will obtain a 14250 planning grant for Mobile Home Park Bylaw Hazard Land study Municipal Maintenance Project and Special Project Citizens Guide. Funds payable after work completion by December 31 1990 with bylaw adoption required prior to payment. Council to attend 1989 Association Conference in Victoria two delegates to attend and report back.

Foster Care Rates Raised by 5 Percent in BC
Social Services and Housing Minister Claude Richmond announced on April 28 1989 a 1.1 million dollar increase to foster care payments. The 5 percent rise applies to the Foster Parent and CIHR programs and takes effect May 1 1989 with new rates for ages 0 to 19 ranging from 276.44 to 407.14 dollars monthly.
