Critters and beasties of Moberly Lake
June Cochrane writes of Moberly Lake wildlife including juncos at feeders and territorial trills, a flock of purple finches, white crowned sparrows, tree sparrows, fox sparrows, song sparrows, rosy finches, pine siskins, and returning redpolls. A belted kingfisher hunts fish, a northern pygmy owl peeks from a snag cavity, a tiger or long toed salamander is found, and a bald eagle along the beach is harassed by ravens during a snowstorm.
