Cardero waits for work permit amid Carbon Creek plans
Cardero, Vancouver headquarter exploration firm, set up at Moberly Lake winter office and pursues Carbon Creek coal project. Aiming for a prefeasibility study this year, the company expects a mining open pit then underground, with initial capex around 301 million dollars pre-production. Public concerns focus on production rate and land reclamation responsibilities. Cardero also operates a 400 square kilometre Ghana project. Environmental assessment to begin after project description acceptance.
