Kingly parallels in Samuel and Christian life
The sermon reflects on Samuel’s grief over Israel’s request for a king, parallels kingship with Christian life, and cites Romans 13 1 John 644 451 and Matthew 511. It argues God ordains rulers and believers, follows biblical rules, relies on God for strength, endures persecution, and seeks Christ like a king. It closes urging readers to find more parallels in living as Christ’s followers.
