Safety of children first in school transport policy questioned
Letter to the editor by Shelley Currier of Chetwynd questions the school district's bus arrangements for kindergarten children. She recounts denial of a bus variance in 1998 to extend a route by 400 metres, cites interim service that she says protected her children, and notes an ongoing six month decision suspended since March 1999. She argues Regulation 3810 aims at safety and equal access.
