Support for grain farmers prompts cross party protest
North Peace MLA Richard Neufeld and I joined BC Grain Producers and NFU in a rare demonstration condemning the NDP Government for not funding grain farmers. They say $26 million is spent on tree fruit, despite a 5 million provincial payment after budget finalization and prior federal matches. Political leaders pledge to press Barlee and Harcourt, urging media and public support for a fair grain deal.
