Grizfest funding boosts Grizfest headliner planning
Tumbler Ridge council granted $50,000 to the TR Days Society to book a Grizfest headlining act with room to cover other festival costs. Mayor Wren proposed using ticket revenue and reduced deposits to fund half the act, a plan met with mixed support, and voters backed the full grant. The society aims to engage fans via Facebook surveys and finalize a lineup featuring acts like Sheepdogs, Billy Idol, Corb Lund, Halestorm, Tom Cochrane, and Sam Roberts while preparing campsite logistics and local business sponsorship.
