Completion of DCAT project advances BC Hydro plans Chetwynd
BC Hydro reports the Dawson Creek Chetwynd Area Transmission project is underway with the Sundance substation to be built off Highway 97 nineteen kilometres east of Chetwynd on crown land. The project includes expansions at Dawson Creek Bear Mountain and Shell Groundbirch substations and two new double circuit lines. Work begins 2014 with clearing, site prep, and structure installation this summer, followed by line stringing in fall 2014 and spring 2015.
