JawS of Life rescue in icy Highway 29 crash
A Saturday morning crash on Highway 29 left a 48 year old male and his 15 year old daughter seriously injured. The van driver and passenger were extracted after 45 minutes using Jaws of Life. Bruce Kinnear drove the logging truck involved. Both victims were taken to Chetwynd General Hospital with fractures.

Fatal crash claims Peace River District employee in 2003
John Slowinski, 49, chief financial administrator of the Peace River Regional District for 23 years, was killed Monday when his Dodge van collided with a semi-truck north of Dawson Creek on the Alaska Highway amid icy roads and blowing snow. A third-vehicle passenger was treated for minor injuries. RCMP continue investigation.
