RCMP Update: Child shoots brother. charges filed

Dawson Creek RCMP report a 12-year-old who shot his 5-year-old brother on March 4 has been charged with Pointing a Firearm. The owner faces a pending Unsafe Storage of a Firearm charge. The 5-year-old remains hospitalized in Vancouver in satisfactory condition awaiting facial reconstruction. Investigators say the boys were playing with the gun and the older boy did not intend harm.
