Crimes and accident near Chetwynd and Del Rio area report
Between February 12 and 13 a trailer at a Del Rio gas well site was broken into with items including an air compressor tools microwave TV and VCR stolen. On February 24 1994 a 26 year old male was assaulted near the Chetwynd Hotel in the early morning by multiple unknowns with injuries and $250 alleged stolen cash. A February 27 1994 highway 97 crash involved Benjamin W Carron Gordon Lucas and Andrew Bergsma. Lucas died en route to hospital, Carron and Bergsma injured, vehicle and pickup burned. witnesses urged to contact Chetwynd RCMP.
