Snowmobilers survive big Hasler avalanche near Hart Highway

Four riders escaped a massive Hasler area avalanche on Sunday February twenty three as a mountain chunk 300 by 700 meters swept downhill. Trevor Vinck Peter Franklin Ryan Gillard Corey Brazeau Danny Shook and Glen Anderson were riding near Hart Highway when the slide hit. Franklin described climbing the 700 meter slope and being knocked into rocks while Gillard warned others as the mass approached.

Dam spill risk hinges on water comptroller ruling
