Critters and Beasts at Moberly Lake Winter Birds
Eight male evening grosbeaks dine on sunflowers though no females join them. Pine grosbeaks number in the thirties with juveniles and females outnumbering males about three to one. Redpoll flocks around fifty roam and feed more aggressively in cold weather. A lynx seat is found far out on the frozen lake as tracks wander across the ice. Descriptions include birds changing color with seasons and behavior shifts in milder conditions.
