Advertising campaign targets end of ICBC monopoly in British Columbia
In Victoria private auto insurers launch a province wide ad blitz urging competition with ICBC. The BC Liberals had promised to end the monopoly but did not set a timeline. Insurance Bureau's Dennis Prouse says ads educate consumers on benefits of private competition and notes the process could take 18 months to two years.
