Community gardens expand food security in Chetwynd
Since 2007 local growers led by Poulin and Shaw have promoted healing gardens at Chetwynd General Hospital and created two community plots in Saulteau and West Moberly First Nations. The effort supports Farm to School salads, a community kitchen, and plans for irrigation, greenhouses, and deer protection to boost local food production and the farmer’s market.
