Ninth Annual Peace River 10 km Road Race June 18 1989 at 10 am with pre registration by June 17 and 15 dollar fee. first 100 entrants receive a free long sleeved T shirt. Morning aerobics Monday Wednesday Friday 9 30 10 am Evening aerobics Monday Wednesday Thursday 6 30 7 30 pm Cardio weights and Universal Gym open until June 15 1989.

Summer Roller Skating and Chetwynd Fun Run
Regular summer roller skating starts Monday June 5 from 7 to 9 pm at the Rec Centre and runs every Monday and Friday. A June 8 Fun Run registration begins at 6 pm. Participants can walk run or bike with prizes and refreshments. For details contact the organizer or Sherry Warneke and submit events by June 7 in the evening.

The Chetwynd Recreation Centre seeks enthusiastic people to become Certified Fitness Instructors. Four steps include a Fitness Knowledge Course or proven training, a 20 hour Specialty Leadership Module, current CPR for two years, and an 8 hour instructional practicum.
