The District of Chetwynd beautification committee releases a new visitor centre brochure. It promotes local tourism with a colourful clear guide of activities points of interest and locations for visitors stopping at the centre.
On May 31 2001 Health Sciences Association held a one day work action at Chetwynd Hospital with emergency only services in X ray and labs and many departments closed or on call. After three months of talks no relief is in sight and local staff warn of recruitment by other provinces. Public urged to support a fair contract amid staffing shortages and safety concerns.
