Beautification plan for 49th Avenue faces parking concerns
The District of Chetwynd reviews a 49th Avenue beautification concept including driveway renewals, brick sidewalks, street trees and waste receptacles. Local business owner Ken Graham fears a crosswalk will remove four parking spaces in front of his shop and the fitness centre, urging angle parking and off site lots. District official Garry Kaulbach says public input will shape engineering plans and notes proposed crosswalks and wider sidewalks require addressing parking, street width, trees, and brush.
