Motocross Track Sparks Debate In Chetwynd Meeting
A packed council meeting in Chetwynd debated a proposed motocross track on the north side of Campbell Road near Pine Valley Exhibition Park. Residents cited noise and safety concerns near schools, ball diamonds, trails, and the gym grounds, while riders argued a local track would reduce injuries and boost tourism and bike shops. Council tabled the proposal to seek alternative locations and consult other municipalities with similar tracks.
