Chetwynd art mural grows with student mosaic effort
Chetwynd Secondary School art teacher Laura Filgate leads a mosaic mural project for the courtyard funded by ArtsSmarts. About 45 students from grades 10 to 12 participate, with potential to reach up to 75 including grade nine. Resident artist Kelly Albin guides tile assembly into a Western Canadian themed design, aiming to complete in about three weeks for a July finish.
