Chetwynd Chainsaw Carving Event Nears With Busy Prep
Less than a week before the Chetwynd chainsaw carving competition. Two-person organizing team, French and Tonia Richter, coordinate with the District and about a dozen volunteers as vendors from Fort St John Prince George Hudsons Hope and Alberta prepare. The event draws international carvers aiming for the Husky Cup in Germany and the Chetwynd title. Local tourism crowns Chetwynd with the Northern Pride Award for its chainsaw contest.
