Women learn self defense at Chetwynd Secondary
More than a dozen women and girls attended a two part self defense workshop at Chetwynd Secondary. Sponsored by The Chetwynd Women’s Resource Centre and The Chetwynd Karate Club. The seven hour course taught basics of self defense against common attacks and how to escape holds. Participants said the program boosts confidence and awareness and may lead to regular martial arts classes in the community.
