In ongoing talks with Terasen over the Chetwynd gas operating agreement the District Council on July 15 approved applying to BCUC to review and adjust local rates toward regional levels. Mayor Evan Laugstad notes studies show Chetwynd pays higher rates than neighbors and aims for substantial reductions, while continuing negotiations with Terasen.
