Fatal accident at W A C Bennett Dam claims electrician
On July 23 at the W A C Bennett Dam a construction electrician Norm Cockerill 59 of Fort St. John was electrocuted in a switch yard. He was rushed to Hudson's Hope Clinic but died before transfer to Fort St. John. Investigations by Workers Compensation Board Coroner Janis Sabulsky and BC Hydro are underway.

Memorandum of Understanding signed for First Nations education
The signing on July 24 by Robert D. Nault Christy Clark and the First Nations Education Steering Committee establishes an MOU to expand First Nations control over education from kindergarten to Grade 12.
