Chamber of Commerce rejects move of log house tourist centre

The Chetwynd Chamber rejected a proposal by David Gayse to buy land near his Westwind RV Park for one dollar to relocate the log house used as the Tourist and Business Info Centre. A secret ballot of 29 members voted against pursuing the relocation, citing access and funding concerns. The chamber will reassess options for maintaining tourism support and parking, while continuing to use the blue building near Pinecone Restaurant for the Tourist Centre.
