W A C Bennett Dam enters phase two drainage work
BC Hydro begins phase two of the toe filter drainage reinforcement at W A C Bennett Dam to strengthen the downstream base rock in four areas. Project cost climbs to about 3.7 million with blasting closures at the quarry and four to five 15 minute road stoppages. Phase two will add about 12 construction jobs and follows 1998 trench work in the canyon section.
