Victoria reports the Division of Vital Statistics lists the ten most popular male and female names for 1991 and 1992 in British Columbia. Michael, Jessica head the male and female lists, followed by Matthew, Brandon, Ryan, Christopher, Kyle, Jordan, Tyler, Dan, and James, with registry-required birth records underpinning the ranking.
The top ten names show little change from last year with Tyler and Daniel rising for boys and Emily replacing Megan for girls. Out of 23 657 male births in 1992 only 494 were named Michael and 465 of 22 590 female births were Jessica, indicating many names are used by small shares. Dana Hay ward of Vancouver shared knowledge with four Chelywnd students in a three day program. The twelve hour course taught lampwork and proper etiquette and awarded certificates upon completion.
