The Chetwynd Minor Hockey Association offers sweaters and socks for local boys in the Summer International Hockey School starting Sunday July 28. Boys should report as notified by mail. those needing sweaters or goal equipment should call Lawrence Clary at 4604 49th Avenue or 788 2788 for details.
The Hudson's Hope council approved up to 15000 for improvements to Beryl Prairie and Powell roads at the July 17 meeting. Projects include straightening Beryl Prairie Road past Paire property and leveling humps on Powell Road. Dave Cameron's 650 bid for the old garbage truck was accepted.
Mr. Mel Kyllo for Hudson's Hope Historical Society asked council to help prepare air lifted boilers for exhibition. They need steaming cleaning and painting before mounting. Mayor Trew said district equipment can handle the work.
