Hudson's Hope council approves roadwork bids

The Hudson's Hope council approved up to 15000 for improvements to Beryl Prairie and Powell roads at the July 17 meeting. Projects include straightening Beryl Prairie Road past Paire property and leveling humps on Powell Road. Dave Cameron's 650 bid for the old garbage truck was accepted.

Hudson's Hope Historical Society seeks boiler exhibit prep

Mr. Mel Kyllo for Hudson's Hope Historical Society asked council to help prepare air lifted boilers for exhibition. They need steaming cleaning and painting before mounting. Mayor Trew said district equipment can handle the work. Kyllo suggested buying the old B C Hydro camp at Bullhead for future use like a convention center. council saw it as a good idea but unaffordable for taxpayers.

Library growth prompt new quarters for Hudsons Hope

The Hudsons Hope Public Library Association with Alderman Anita McWilliams told council the library will need larger quarters by April 1976. It has been studying alternatives including buying the Bullhead Camp recreation hall.
