Five-year-old helps others with lemonade stand charity drive
Cassidy Lightburn of Chetwynd set up a lemonade stand in downtown in front of Wildcat Video raising 260 for Plan Canada Because I am a Girl. She plans to operate through the summer inviting other children to donate to global girls’ education and health initiatives. Plan Canada works with communities to build schools wells clinics and loans for small businesses, aiming to empower girls and lift families from poverty. Cassidy’s parents supported her effort and highlighted charity as giving money to others in need.
