Wrens nest near the back porch with a hummingbird feeder nearby as a rufous male and the wren quarrel regularly. A flicker probes the bank and joins the wrens to harass it. A western terrestrial garter snake was spotted on the beach as ravens drive an osprey to drop a fish, then the osprey recovers it and departs south.
