Busy Saturday for police in Chetwynd
Chetwynd RCMP logged a busy night on Saturday June 28 with 13 calls after 1:30 a.m. A 33-year-old local man faced impaired care and control charges after a breath test near twice the limit and will appear in Chetwynd Court on August 28. Robert Wayne Larocque, 22, remained in custody awaiting a July 2 court appearance on counts of weapon possession and breach of probation following a nearby domestic incident. Police also handled noise complaints, a party assault, a bar altercation, a 24-hour bar ban, vandalism at gas pumps, and a checkstop that found no intoxicated drivers.
