Reporter Rick Davison notes unusually wet conditions have kept forest fires low in the Prince George region. Through June there were 38 fires in Dawson Creek District with 124 hectares burned, far below last year and the ten year average. Provincial totals mirror this trend, though officials caution against complacency as fires can rekindle from smoldering grounds.
