Fire and derailment disrupt Chetwynd BC Rail yard

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, the engine was back on track the next day with hydraulic jacks as officials blamed switching contact issues.

Williston Lake level rise study by B C Hydro

The human remains found April 27, 1986 along Hwy 29 near Chetwynd are identified as Theodore Yellowknee, missing since December 23, 1983 in Dawson Creek. Police solicit information on Yellowknee’s 1983 movements and activities via RCMP detachment in Chetwynd or Dawson Creek.
