Crowds gathered for Canada Day in downtown Chetwynd as shops stayed open and a Park benches dedication by artist Aaro Simonsen proceeded despite rain. A chainsaw carving demo was postponed to the weekend, while turnout lagged behind last year but the celebration remained festive.
