Chetwynd Chainsaw Sculptures Put Town On The Map
Chetwynd has 36 chainsaw sculptures around town with plans to reach about 40 by spring. A dedicated Chainsaw Sculpture Committee funded works for businesses and residents. An upcoming park will feature Blue Herrons, a beaver, an eagle, a mountain sheep and benches, including a tribute to Dr. Roberta Bondar and Honorable Frank Oberle. Local artists Terry McKinnon, Aar o Simonson, Glen Greensides, Vance Blank, Trevor Quinn, and Sergei Gibsons contributed. Peter Browsher in Dornoch England exchanged letters about the sculptures and requested photos to share.
