Walk for Memories held in Chetwynd supports dementia group
The seventh annual Investors Group Walk for Memories in Chetwynd on Sunday January 25 began with a pancake breakfast at the recreation centre. A silent auction and fundraiser supported BC Alzheimer's Society, with local HOG volunteers aiding. The event honored Otto Gerstel, whose family description and life story were shared. Funds aim to aid Canadians living with dementia, with local proceeds kept locally and some aiding provincial research.
