Driver James Lafleur Charged After Breath Tests in Chetwynd
James Travis Lafleur, 28, of Moberly Lake, has been charged with impaired driving and driving while over .08 after police found him in downtown Chetwynd on November 23, 2002. He provided two breath samples of .240 and .230, each well above the legal limit, and will appear in Chetwynd provincial court on February 13.

Seat Belt Check Yields 37 Tickets In Chetwynd
South Peace Traffic Services with Fort Nelson Traffic Services conducted a seat belt check on January 22 and 23 in Chetwynd. One impaired driver, one 24 hour suspension, 37 seat belt tickets and other provincial statue charges were issued. Seat belt use will remain a priority to improve road safety in the community.
