Hill announces 4.2 million for Peace Region retraining
At a Chamber luncheon in Chetwynd Jay Hill announced a three year funding agreement of 4.2 million from Service Canada's Community Coordinator Skills Development program to Obair Economic Society. Funds will support retraining and job access for Peace River residents with first come first serve distribution through headquarters in Dawson Creek and a Fort St. John satellite office. The plan targets Canfor layoffs and rural communities, with itinerant services to the area.
