BC Hydro ends a traffic count camera survey in Fort St John Taylor Hudsons Hope and Chetwynd collecting vehicle turning data at 19 locations since November. The study aims to establish baseline traffic volumes to assess potential increases linked to Site C construction once it begins.
A BC Oil and Gas Commission report notes fracking between August 2013 and October 2014 in the Montney basin near Fort St. John and Dawson Creek caused 11 surface felt earthquakes. There were about 220 seismic events overall, most linked to fracking wells. none caused injuries or property damage.
