1980 Was a Good Year in Chetwynd Highlights
In 1980 Chetwynd saw activity across coal plans housing and fire safety with Canfor and BP Sukunka reporting shifts and mine prospects. The village staged events from Mother of the Year to Loggers Sports Day while celebrating infrastructure gains including a new totem pole and Fire Department trophies. Local figures such as Mayor Pfanner and Don Phillips featured in civic updates.
