On January 4 1987 a crisp Dawson Creek morning hosted an interclub outdoor speed skating meet with five Chetwynd Speed Skaters competing.
Chetwynd and Beaverlodge played to a 4 4 draw in game 4. T Mosher had a pair of assists, with S Cyr Tod and R Ripley also factoring. Mosher named most valuable player as atom all stars travel and compete in December and early January events across Grande Prairie Dawson Creek and Hinton tournaments with multiple scorers listed.
