Chetwynd Buds Set for Hawaii slo-pitch Tour

The Chetwynd Campbells lead about 15 players to Maui for a Hawaiian slo-pitch series next week with a first game at 6 p.m. on January 13. The Buds, founded by Darlene and Daryll Campbell, previously toured to Mexico in 1988, winning a first place trophy. Each player pays 1435 for the inclusive trip, with extra for barbecues and beer. This starts an annual Hawaiian tournament planned to extend beyond this trip.

Get in shape for '95 at Chetwynd Leisure Pool

Darlene Patrick invites the public to join 95 km swim program at Chetwynd Leisure Pool in 1995. Open to ages 13 and up at any pace with Red Cross lessons starting January 9 and Bronze Medallion along with Senior Resuscitation beginning January 30. Also offers leadership courses and a revised pool schedule. Grade five swim program runs January 23 to February 13, with Monday and Wednesday sessions. pool closures 9 12 noon and 1 3 p.m. on those days. For details call 788-3993.
